5Meeting for the first time in months (exchange of opinions)
Last Saturday was the first meeting held at the company in about five months.
At the beginning of the 68th term, which started in October last year, monthly meetings were held separately in the morning and afternoon with the employee representative meeting and the meeting of managers of each business site, but in recent years, due to the influence of the corona disaster, it has been extremely difficult to hold meetings to prevent the spread of infection. At the end of March this year, priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease were finally lifted, and the meeting resumed while observing the situation of the public.
The people who can gather also come to the head office from other prefectures, so they don't feel comfortable inside.
I'm not sure if I should always hold it until the last minute, but my real intention is "I want to get together!"
I want to report to you how the company is doing. I had five months' worth of thoughts.
On the day of the event, there was no particular health hazard, and all the attendees were able to meet Genki face to face.
In Tokyo, there are still about 5,000 corona infected people (positive) on 4/24 alone, and it can be said that it is a dangerous level if you look at the number alone at about 40,000 nationwide. If it was two years ago, it might be an emergency or lockdown level.
However, in the past two years, I feel that people in Japan have become immune to how to deal with and deal with the coronavirus, and that they have reached a level where they can engage in social activities while being close to each other.
On the other hand, the new school year started in April this year, and while schools are normal, infected people and close contacts are now felt close to each other.
Even if we are able to carry out daily social activities, it is unlikely that we will be able to pay attention to thorough infection prevention for a while.
Returning to the discussion, the meeting began with a meeting of employee representatives (METI committee members) in the morning, and the meeting lasted about four hours until the meeting of section managers in the afternoon, where various topics were discussed, and it was a very meaningful opportunity for discussions that will lead to the future.
I always feel that face-to-face dialogue is indispensable as it is valuable as it allows us to know the real situation. I am still immature and developing, and the improvement proposals from other managers and employees are very appreciated, and they are valuable opinions that put blind spots in it, and it is very developmental.
In response to problems and information raised by employee representatives, we deepen mutual understanding by carefully discussing each item one by one at subsequent meetings of section managers and leading to answers that are convincing or leading to the next meeting by the next meeting.
Since they will come all the way to Tokyo, I would like them to bring something meaningful back to their business sites.
With this in mind, all the executives are also creating materials and presentation contents.
We would like to continue to hold creative meetings with the aim of creating a more comfortable workplace, atmosphere, and environment. Thank you very much to everyone who participated.
I'll see you next month.
After the end, when I arrived home, the guardian god of my house (totem pole) greeted me anew. (laughs)
